And behind the scenes we’ve gathered some additional information that we’d like to share with you

What are the industry’s major challenges in combining innovation and sustainability?

MG: Faced with the urgency of the climate crisis and its consequences for our planet, we all need to continue our decarbonization actions in industry to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. For CENIT, looking to the longer term means stepping up our support for our customers in digitizing their industrial processes to help them reduce their carbon footprint throughout the life-cycle management of their products.

What are the key technological domains required to achieve this transformation?

MG Today, we can optimize a product’s or system’s carbon impact right from the design stage, using eco-design and virtual twins, and thus enter into a circular economy approach. Our mission is to optimize their product development processes to shorten the time-to-market while complying with new European regulations. Diagnosis and analysis of a product’s carbon footprint from end to end of its value chain are becoming essential, particularly in the manufacturing industry. At CENIT, we have developed cutting-edge expertise in manufacturing, digital simulation and systems engineering to guarantee compliance with the highest quality standards, and to help our customers achieve their sustainability objectives.

CENIT recently published a white paper entitled “Digital technology and sustainable development: shaping industry’s future”. What was the objective?

MG: The reason is simple. The sustainable development approach involves all the stakeholders of the society. The aim is not to return to the Stone Age, but to produce better, to optimize the use of raw materials and energy. When a customer asks you: “How can we reduce most of the physical prototypes of my product?” or “How can we speed up the design and manufacturing cycles in compliance with environmental regulations? We support him in this digital transformation whose many tools contribute to decarbonization throughout the product life cycle. in this white paper (LINK)  we have gathered feedback from experts and customers for whom innovation and sustainability are intrinsically linked for more business value.

Our solutions and expertise can help companies to get it “right first time”, meaning to deliverer correctly products without defects the first time they are produced. Virtual twin technologies provided by Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform solutions enable businesses to have a virtual representation of a real-world and thus to visualize, model and simulate the entire environment of a product or system. Virtual twinning facilitates sustainable business innovation across the full product lifecycle.

How to extend this perspective to the entire company?

MG: You can accelerate your product development processes thanks to the connection of your PLM system with other information from ERP. The 3DEXPERIENCE®-SAP Integration solution lets both systems communicate bidirectionally, laying the foundation for end-to-end processes in product creation The integration solution developed by CENIT brings more innovation, greater efficiency and cost benefits.
